When I was a kid I had a Classic Tonka Dump Truck. I played with that truck for years! I loved everything about it and I knew I wanted to buy my son one just like I had, only I found a better one.
When looking for a Christmas gift for my son 5 years ago when he was almost 2 , I saw the Tonka Toughest Mighty Truck at Walmart and fell in love at first sight. It was so much bigger than the classic Tonka Dump Trucks! I noticed that the new Tonka trucks were a mix of heavy duty plastic and steel, and it seemed almost indestructible. At that time my son loved to push trucks, cars, trains, anything he could push, so I knew that it was the perfect gift. I knew it would last for years and it was well worth the price being asked.
Below you’ll find both the classic and toughest mighty trucks along with some other metal dump trucks and diggers. I know you’ll find the perfect gift for your child.

Best Metal Dump Truck: Tonka Toughest Mighty Dump Truck
The Tonka Toughest Mighty Dump Truck is easily the best toy I have purchased since becoming a parent. My 7 year old received it for Christmas just before his second birthday, and he still plays with it. This truck has been out in the weather for 5 years now and it still works great. My son can destroy anything, but not this truck. This Tonka truck is great for toddlers on up to 7 or 8 years old or even older. Both of my sons have loved this dump truck toy. My youngest son has played with this for 5 years now and my oldest played with it for the first couple years we had it. He used to love to push his little brother around in it. I just can not say enough about this truck. It is worth every penny we paid.

Fun Games To Play With A Dump Truck Toy
These games are great for toddlers and preschoolers. They helped my son learn to follow simple directions and master skills necessary for him to do well in school. There are so many ways to make learning fun, and using a favorite toy is one of the best ways to keep your child’s attention.
Bring Me: With this game I instruct my toddler to bring me an object. I say ” Bring me a rock” or “bring me a toy car” and then my toddler pushes his Tonka truck to the object and hauls it back to me. My toddler learns how to follow simple directions and improves his vocabulary while having a blast pushing his truck around at the same time.
To help with numbers and counting you can ask for a certain number of objects like “bring me 2 leaves” or “bring me 3 sticks”.
To help with colors you could ask for objects of a certain color lik “bring me a green block” or “bring me a red car”
Fetch The Ball:My son loves to play fetch, I know it sounds weird but he loves it., so I will play fetch with him with a twist. We have a ball filled with water and glitter and I throw it or roll it and my toddler loves to go fetch it in his Tonka truck and haul it back to me. There’s a lot of fun to be had playing this game.
Toy Sort: We start with a pile of toys like blocks, balls, cars, and stuffed animals all mixed in together and then I ask my toddler to put each type of toy in a separate pile. I mark a spot for each pile about 5 feet apart so he can haul the toys to the piles. Sometimes we sort my color also.
